The Logistics Terminal, Tilbury
What are Port centric Operations?
For many years, owners of containerised cargos that arrive in major seaports such as The Port of London in Tilbury Essex have then had to incur the financial costs of having to arrange the direct delivery of those containers, some weighing as much as forty four tonnes all over the UK only for the empty container to be then returned to the port of origin. The Logistics Terminal offers a simple solution which saves on transport costs and at the same time helps the environment by reducing the carbon footprint by collecting, offloading, and restituting the empty container before storing those materials at one of their bonded warehouses inside Tilbury Freeport which acts like duty-free zone due to the fact that customs duties and import VAT are suspended until those materials leave the bonded facility. The Logistics Terminal then offer a full distribution service throughout the UK & Europe.
As the cost of UK road distribution and road congestion has increased, port-centric warehouses have become the location of choice for the majority of importers and exporters, reducing the time, distance and cost of moving goods.
The TLT team offers the experience and knowledge it takes to make a difference to each customer's logistical solution. Solutions can be tailored to the specific requirements of a diverse range of markets including fast moving consumer goods (FMCG); forest products.
